Intuition was recorded live over five days at Good Danny’s Studio (Sheerwater, Wye Oak, Of Montreal) in Lockhart, TX in October 2019. It features JJ Johnson (Tedeschi Trucks Band) on drums, Anthony Farrell (Greyhounds) on Organ, Trevor Nealon (Band of Heathens) on Keys, and Joe Beckham on Bass. Horns and vocals were overdubbed at Birdhouse Studios and background vocals were recorded during Covid-19 lockdown. Intuition was mixed by Danny Reisch of Good Danny’s and mastered by Greg Calbi at Sterling Sound. Daniel Watters was the Producer.

The Watters release their self-titled album “The Watters”.  This record continues to fuse a little more of a “jazz feel” to their Americana rock sound.

Imagine Fleetwood Mac and Tedeschi Trucks Band merging into one dynamic super group, and you will start to get an idea of The Watters unique sound. The band’s continued exploration of Americana, Rock, Funk and Soul music creates a timeless and unique sound that, while hard to define is also strangely familiar.  The Watters new album, “Great Unknown”, official release date is July 2, 2016.  The album was recorded in Austin, TX at Cacophony Studios in late 2015 and January of 2016. The music and lyrics are original and written by founders, Daniel & Jenna Watters.  An all-star cast of Austin musicians were recruited to play keys, percussion, and a 3 piece horn section joined the core band, embodying the live energy that epitomizes The Watters music.

The Watters spent a week in December 2015, in Cacophony Recorders studio, Austin,TX beginning the process of recording their 5th album (First as The Watters).  They spent another week in January 2016.  The album will be called  “The Great Unknown”.  This album will feature an 8-piece band that includes a 3 piece horn section.

Daniel and Jenna Watters, schoolmates turned band mates turned soul mates, share lead vocals and guitar in the group along side their 6-piece band. The Watters originated as The Oak Creek Band in 2009, named for the area where Daniel and Jenna grew up nearSedona, AZ. The ensemble was based out of Denver and then Nashville until relocating to Austin, Texas in 2015.
